Golam Kibria Sourav is an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. He
obtained his LL.B. (Hon’s) and LL.M. degrees from the Faculty of Law,
University of Dhaka. His expertise spans a diverse range of legal domains,
including Artha Rin matters, Arbitration matters, Commercial Dispute Resolution,
Writ matters, Civil and Criminal matters, Corporate Litigation and
Documentation, Banking matters, Admiralty matters, Company matters, VAT, Tax
and Custom Matters and Human Rights issues. His journey in the legal arena is
enriched through volunteer work and active engagement in prestigious forums and
workshops on human rights, social business, arbitration, and related fields. He
distinguished himself by winning the Professor KAA Quamruddin Memorial Award
for best academic excellence at the 15th Human Rights Summer School. As an
editor and research associate, he has contributed to numerous books, journals,
and legal publications. A committed advocate for social justice, he co-authored
the chapter “Wrestle with Identity: Untouchability in the Process of Social
Exclusion and Marginalization” in the book The Harijans of Bangladesh: Living
with the Injustice of Untouchability (2016). His scholarly insights also extend
to influential articles in national newspapers, where he addresses pressing
legal and societal issues. He continues to advance his practice with a focus on
equitable justice, combining rigorous legal acumen with a passion for societal
transformation.
